Today we completed our Press Conferences and took notes on the various thoughts about democracy by our in class philosophers.
Tonight, go through your textbook and look for information on the following 5 documents:
     A.  The Magna Carta
     B.  The English Bill of Rights
     C.  The American Declaration of Independence
     D.  The French Declaration of Rights of Man and of the Citizen
     E.  The U.S. Bill of Rights
For each of the documents write down what the purpose of the document is and write down the guarantees. 
Example:  Magna Carta:
                         Purpose:  Limits the role of the king.  Describes specific rights of individuals.
                         Guarantees:  Right to due process of law.  Right to a jury trial of individuals.
                                              The king must ask to be able to tax or go to war.

Modified assignment:

For each of the documents, write down what each document guarantees its citizens.
